This Privacy Policy explains how DiAstrologer (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website and services (“the Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

a) Birth Data: Date, time, and place of birth that you voluntarily provide for chart generation and astrological analysis.

b) Account Information: Name, email address, and contact details if you create an account or purchase premium services.

c) Payment Information: When you purchase paid services, payment is processed through third-party payment gateways. We do NOT store your credit/debit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank account details on our servers. Payment processors handle all financial data under their own security policies and PCI-DSS compliance.

d) Transaction Records: We store transaction IDs, purchase amounts, timestamps, and service purchased for order fulfillment and dispute resolution.

e) Usage Data: Device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, and session duration collected automatically for analytics and service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for:

  • Computing planetary positions and generating astrological analysis
  • Processing payments and delivering purchased reports
  • Providing customer support and resolving disputes
  • Improving our services, algorithms, and user experience
  • Sending transactional emails (receipts, report delivery)
  • Complying with legal obligations

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Birth data for free tools may be temporarily stored for session continuity and is not permanently retained unless you create an account. Premium reports and associated birth data are stored for the duration necessary to provide download access and customer support.

Transaction records are retained as required by applicable Indian tax and commerce laws (currently a minimum of 8 years). We reserve the right to retain anonymized and aggregated data indefinitely for analytical purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services:

  • Payment Gateways: For processing payments securely. These providers have their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Hosting & Infrastructure: Cloud servers for running the application.
  • Analytics: To understand usage patterns and improve the Service.

No birth data is sent to any third-party service for non-essential purposes. Astronomical calculations use NASA JPL DE440 ephemeris data processed locally on our servers.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality, session management, and language preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used. By using the Service, you consent to our use of cookies.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk. We shall not be liable for any unauthorized access, data breach, or loss of data caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us for removal.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its applicable rules. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically.
